How long can I board my dog for? ...

I board dogs anywhere between overnight and a few weeks. I just board one dog at a time (or two if they live together). I do not have pets of my own. There are no children in the home.

Please see '2024 & 2025 Calendars' at the foot of this page for boarding availability.

Do you board all types of dogs? ...

Yes ... big, small, young and old - as long as they are not aggressive. If your dog is under 1 year old please call to discuss. Please also advise if your dog is neutered.

Where will my pet be staying? ...

Your pet will sleep in the house and have access to the garden - which is 80ft. (see photos on 'Home' page) - so fine for burning off some energy or chilling out! The garden is totally secure although your dog may encounter the odd squirrel, fox or neighbours' cats.

What to bring ...

Please bring your dog's leads, bed, blankets, toys, grooming equipment - and whatever

else makes him/her feel at home.

You should also provide food for your pet's stay (I have bowls if needed), plus treats and

any medication which your dog requires. I am happy to give insulin injections, for example.

Your dog's stay ...

I will keep to your pet's routine as much as possible - and try to make it a 'home from home' experience.

I have id tags with my name and telephone number, which I will attach to your dog's collar for the length of their boarding period.

Your dog will sleep in the house (upstairs or downstairs). There will be access to drinking water during the night.

Normally I will walk your dog (one to one) twice a day - in the park or around the roads - but I will fit in with your preferences. Please advise if you're happy for your pet to socialise with other dogs.

If your pet is elderly or unable to go for walks then we can discuss any alternative games

or training routines. If the weather is very hot (or cold) then we can also shorten or postpone the walks.

There may be a situation where your dog will need to be left on his/her own in the house (maximum of 2 hours), but I will try to avoid this if possible. Please advise how this should best be managed - with toys, treats, radio, etc!

Dropping off / collection times ...

I am up early and go to bed late - so am flexible regards times!

'Meet & greet' ...

Once the booking has been made we can arrange an appropriate time for you to visit the house with your dog, so that we can all get to know each other. This is a mandatory requirement - and can be anywhere between 1 hour and an overnight stay. I will also provide a booking form - requesting details about your dog - which can be brought along when he/she comes to stay. A copy of the boarding form and T&C is at the bottom of

this page.

Vaccinations (mandatory) ...

Please note the following are required for your dog's stay:

. Worming and flea treatment

  Vaccination against:

. Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus

. Leptospirosis

The vaccination course must be completed at least two weeks prior to the boarding period.

I would need to see proof of the vaccines - this can either be your dog's vaccination record, a photo copy, or a screenshot sent to my mobile.
